Engineering Technologies, Inc. selected as engineer for West Haymarket project

ETI has been selected as part of the development team for the West Haymarket project in Lincoln. The announcement was made at a 10:30 a.m. press conference Tuesday, April 29 at the Lincoln Mayor’s office.

Voters will decide next year whether to green-light a new arena near the Haymarket to replace the 50-year-old Pershing Center.

The West Haymarket Development team proposed two hotels, a conference center, retail space, offices and condos. A 150-room hotel would be part of the arena, with about 70 rooms facing into the arena like club suites; 30 percent of those would have balconies, the rest windows. The team also proposed a 250-room hotel south of the arena.

“Being selected as part of the West Haymarket development team by the selection committee assembled by the Mayor, the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the Vision 2015 group, is an honor,” stated Angela Barry, ETI Director of Marketing. “The professionalism shown by our staff on a daily basis, our innovative designs and quality delivered on each of our projects results in these excellent opportunities.”
